About the Job

Entrusted Advisors is actively seeking talented Government Affairs Specialists for a full-time, fully remote, temp-to-perm role. The Government Affairs Specialist will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and influencing public policy and legislation related to the energy sector. This role involves engaging with government officials, industry stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure that the organization’s interests, particularly in energy matters, are represented and advanced at the federal, state, and local levels. The role requires experience in drafting legislation, preparing talking points, explaining complex issues, and conducting substantial lobbying efforts.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a lobbyist at the state level.
  • Experience with state legislatures or public utility commissions.
  • Experience working with energy regulatory agencies or within an energy-related organization.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to influence public policy and engage with government officials.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with the Mid-Atlantic and New England Region (Maine in particular).
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Law degree/legal experience preferred.
