The Government Relations Manager is a key contributor to the Amneal Government Affairs team. This Manager will join a team of advocacy professionals to support the execution of sophisticated federal and state government affairs strategies to directly and indirectly benefit the commercial and public priorities of Amneal. The Manager responsibilities will include developing materials to support successful legislative and advocacy campaigns; legislative tracking, research, analysis, and issue spotting; monitoring select hearings and driving outreach opportunities; engaging with policy makers in the legislative and executive branches; and drafting executive briefing memos and written responses to congressional requests and inquiries. The Manager also advises and assists with the management of external consultant resources, trade association relations, coalition participation, and advocacy strategy development.
Essential Functions:
- Work collaboratively with the Government Affairs Team in proactively educating internal and external stakeholders, schedule, and participate in meetings on behalf of the company to advance government affairs objectives and legislative priorities, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and fostering productive relationships with key policymakers and external stakeholders. Represent the company at policy, political and trade associations and focus on specific geographies and issues as identified by Government Affairs leadership.
- Play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the AmnealPAC. Design and execute solicitation campaigns and events to engage eligible employees, fostering awareness of the PAC’s objectives and its alignment with the company’s mission. Work closely with HR, finance, and accounting to ensure the eligible class is accurate and processes are in place to collect employee contributions and disburse them to the appropriate candidates. Additionally, manage contribution tracking and maintain internal accurate records. Work closely with PAC Board leadership to help set agendas, answer questions, and lead the development of a quarterly PAC newsletter.
- Create and expand upon advocacy materials, such as branded PowerPoint presentations, issue briefs, “one pagers,” and talking points by working closely with cross-functional teams to educate on trending issues of importance to government and internal audiences.
- Coordinate closely with internal advocacy, communications, legal, and commercial partners to align initiatives to government affairs objectives and advocacy campaigns. Also, incumbent will support the advocacy team across all operations by monitoring and reporting on active legislative and regulatory proceedings.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS): Political science, public policy, government relations, or a related field – Required
Experience:
- 5 years or more: Experience in public advocacy, government affairs, or related role
Skills:
- Highly organized and able to carry out projects with limited supervision under pressured circumstances – Proficient
- Strong ability to independently problem solve, take initiative to assist others and find creative solutions – Proficient
- Strong ability to manage a complex project from inception to completion with guidance and oversight – Proficient
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, exercising discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance – Proficient
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of individuals within and outside the company, including with policymakers – Proficient

Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $170,000 per year. In addition, Amneal offers a short-term incentive opportunity, such as a bonus or performance-based award, with this position within the first 12 months. Amneal ranges reflect the Company’s good faith estimate of what Amneal reasonably believes that it will pay for said position at the time of the posting.
Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including but not limited to, qualifications, experience, geographic location, and other relevant skills.
