Summary
The Chief Campaigns Officer is a key position within Voto Latino’s leadership that oversees and manages multiple departments, including communications, partnerships, events, and government affairs for Voto Latino Foundation, a non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization, and its sister 501(c)(4) advocacy organization, Voto Latino. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing multiple departments and building relationships with key partners and stakeholders. This is a senior position and reports to the President.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive campaign strategies that align with Voto Latino’s missions and goals.
- Build and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including Congress, Administration, national and local partners.
- Lead Voto Latino’s political and communication portfolio, working to enhance Voto Latino’s work and mission.
- Oversee Voto Latino’s Events Team, including both legacy and strategic events.
- Work alongside the Development Team to secure necessary funding for campaigns and events.
- Manage Voto Latino’s partnerships portfolio, extending to state and local organizations.
- Guide and maintain a cohesive approach across departmental efforts.
- Establish and track metrics and key performance indicators to measure the success of campaigns and strategic events.
- Manage and mentor a team of junior and senior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related capacity.
- 10+ years of experience in nonprofits or government affairs running large, integrated campaigns and/or programs.
- Experience managing staff and staff managers, including guiding goal-setting and task management.
- Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills – experience as a spokesperson optional, but not required.
- Experience working within nonprofit, civic, or voting rights organizations, with prior experience working with members of Congress preferred.
- Highly collaborative style; extensive experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
- Experience working with high levels of discretion and handling confidential or sensitive information.
- Experience working with or for a (c)(4) organization preferred.
- A track record of building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to, and awareness of, Latino civil rights and/or issues of social justice.
Salary & Benefits
Between $160,000 and $180,000 annual salary. Voto Latino offers competitive benefits, including health insurance, and paid vacation leave. This is a full-time employment position.
