Berman and Company is a dynamic public relations firm seeking a Communications and Research Associate to join our team. Our focus is on state and local issues, with the aim of promoting free-market policies. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, excellent writing and research abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Role Snapshot
- Researching state and local policies, particularly those related to employment and labor.
- Compiling research reports and providing assistance on various projects.
- Crafting compelling op-eds, letters to editors, and other written materials.
- Identifying trends and movements in local, state, and federal policies.
- Assisting in the development of communication materials to further our research.
- Undertaking additional communication projects on diverse topics as required, such as generating press materials and statements.

- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in conducting and compiling research.
- Possession of an entrepreneurial mindset and determination to achieve objectives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively.

- Previous experience in local, state, and/or federal policy issues and legislative processes.
- Experience collaborating with nonprofit organizations and other experts in the free-market policy network.
- Demonstrable examples of strong writing in public-facing communications, such as op-eds.
- Proficiency in Excel.
