## Director of Coalition Strategy

The Director of Coalition Strategy is responsible for developing and executing strategies for stakeholder engagement, building and managing relationships with like‑minded groups, associations, and nonprofits, and leading coalition‑wide advocacy and outreach efforts. This includes maintaining and growing existing relationships and seeking new opportunities across the health care space. The role also creates an education and communication plan for leadership within CHA and across CHA’s member hospitals to ensure messaging, work efforts, and goals are consistently communicated.

### Key Responsibilities

– Create and implement strategic plans for coalition engagement and issue‑based advocacy with guidance from the VP, Federal Affairs.
– Build, manage, and expand relationships with health care mission‑aligned organizations.
– Foster collaboration with CHA’s Public Affairs team to ensure alignment with strategy design and implementation.
– Identify new opportunities to strengthen influence across child health and health care policy spaces.
– Represent the organization in coalition settings, clearly communicating priorities and perspectives.
– Lead and facilitate coalition meetings, working groups, and collaborative initiatives.
– Set annual goals, metrics, and priorities for coalition engagement and advocacy efforts.
– Provide strategic guidance to internal teams to ensure alignment across public affairs functions.
– Partner with communications, public affairs, CHA, and member hospital leadership to develop a high‑quality communication strategy.
– Create advocacy materials such as talking points, policy summaries, and strategic updates to ensure consistent messaging.
– Oversee coalition‑related projects, events, and special initiatives from planning through execution.
– Manage budgets, partnerships, and performance for sponsored or “pay‑to‑play” opportunities.
– Analyze data and policy trends, track outcomes, and report progress to senior leadership.
