Director of Government Relations

Salary Range:

$140,000.00 To $140,000.00 Annually

AHCA/NCAL is seeking a Director of Government Relations to improve lives by delivering solutions for quality care by serving as a representative of the Association’s positions and policies before the U.S. Congress, the executive branch, regulatory bodies, other organizations, and coalitions.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree plus minimum of 5 years related experience in government affairs, health or public policy related field.
• Extensive relationships with Members of Congress, their staffs, Administration officials and health care policy personnel.
• Experience managing complex issues.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Serve as a key member of the AHCA/NCAL Government Relations Team:

• Lobby for the political positions of the Association. Results include passage of favorable legislation as well as defeating legislation detrimental to the sector.
• Develop relationships with Members of Congress, senior staff, key executive branch officials, state officials and/or government relations representatives from other groups to foster access to the policymaking process and the understanding of complex issues.
• Represent AHCA/NCAL within Washington, DC health care policy community.
• Other duties as assigned.
