Position Overview:

The Chamber Government Affairs Division – the organization’s DC-based in-house lobbying team – seeks a manager to help draft, edit, and review correspondence to the House and Senate, to assist the Chamber’s lobbyists with scheduling, research, and other administrative tasks, and to collaborate with the Chamber’s Government Affairs team on events and other projects. This staff member will also work collaboratively with key internal Chamber stakeholders across the policy division, the political affairs team, and the communications, legal, and international teams.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Support the division’s team of lobbyists with research, scheduling, and other activities.
  • Work with departments across the Chamber to help advance their advocacy efforts through various forms of external correspondence to federal, state, and international governmental entities.
  • Prepare briefing materials for senior leadership and assist in outreach and scheduling of Congressional meetings.
  • Assist with maintaining internal trackers and reports of Government Affairs activity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need to Succeed (Requirements):

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong research, writing, editing, and database skills.
  • B.A. or B.S. preferred.

The salary range for this position is $60,906.00 to $65,000.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors. Our full-time employees are eligible for benefits, including health care, vision, dental, retirement, and paid leave.
