Description

Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, Lockheed Martin Government Affairs (LMGA) and in support of the Vice President and General Counsel of LMGA, the successful candidate will perform paralegal duties including:

  • CPS-008 sponsorships and business courtesy exception and agreement review, including events at the Lockheed Martin Global Vision Center in Arlington, VA.
  • Develop, update, and deliver compliance training classes in coordination with responsible managers.
  • Manage lobbying compliance under the Lobbying Disclosure Act, including sweep lists, data calls, and regulatory filings.
  • Provide quarterly updates to LMGA Disclosure Controls and Procedures.
  • Support audits including LD-2 and LD-203 filings and Lockheed Martin Employees’ Political Action Committee (LMEPAC).
  • Draft LMGA policies and oversee implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local lobbying and Pay-to-Play regulations, including surveys, research, and interaction with outside counsel.
  • Draft cease and desist letters for external postings about LMGA events involving Members of Congress and their staff.
  • Assist with PAC contributions, documentation, meetings, and DocuSign.
  • Support responses to external investigations and audits by government agencies, including the DCAA and GAO.
  • Respond to watchdog agencies regarding Lockheed Martin’s transparency ratings.
  • Prepare Mandatory Disclosures under the Federal Acquisition Regulation from LMGA Domestic Field Offices.
  • Organize files related to legal and policy compliance, including LDA, federal election laws, and state/local political activity regulations.
  • Coordinate LMGA Anti-Corruption Compliance Review and Certifications annually.
  • Review and coordinate employee political activity under CPS-004, including drafting memos.
  • Conduct initial review and drafting of Conflict of Interest (COIN) reviews.
  • Review consultant packages for compliance with revolving door and post-government employment rules.
  • Ensure consultants meet CRX-010 requirements and assist with due diligence reviews.
  • Draft LMGA consultant contracts using templates and customize with legal guidance as needed.
  • Send contracts for execution using DocuSign and ensure timely completion.

Work Location: On-site (4 days per week) at Crystal City, Arlington, VA.

Schedule: 9/80 (every other Friday off, as business allows)

Basic Qualifications

  • Paralegal certificate
  • Strong technology acumen and systems orientation
  • Experience in legal affairs (e.g., corporate legal department or large law firm)
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and DocuSign
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with professionalism
  • Experience supporting executives in a highly visible organization
  • Experience drafting legal agreements

Desired Skills

  • 3+ years of paralegal experience
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with Government or Legislative Affairs
