What You’ll Do
Develops and delivers Lake Trust’s governmental affairs strategy in alignment with its core values and Brand Promise. Develops relationships and influences key individuals at the federal, state, or local government level on issues relevant to Lake Trust’s governmental affairs strategy. Identifies issues of public policy and organizational importance, drafts and distributes memos or releases, and generates government and public support. Represents the organization at trade association meetings, and advocates for organizational interests in front of legislative and regulatory bodies. Monitors and comments on pending legislation that may impact organizational operations.
- Proactively works to develop and deliver the Lake Trust governmental affairs strategy.
- Builds relationships with key legislative and regulatory leaders to broaden our sphere of influence and create an understanding of the philosophy and actions of Lake Trust.
- Influences key legislative and regulatory leaders on issues aligned to the Lake Trust governmental affairs strategy.
- Identifies opportunities for the introduction or amendment of legislation that furthers Lake Trust’s governmental affairs strategy.
- Tracks, monitors, and researches legislative and regulatory issues that align with Lake Trust’s governmental affairs strategy.
What You’ll Bring
- Position requires a four-year degree.
- Position requires five to six years of very similar or related work experience.
