## Position: Policy Advisor – Sacramento
Our Sacramento office is seeking a self‑starting Policy Advisor to join our dynamic Government Relations team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of legislative experience and a deep understanding of the legislative and political process, along with specific familiarity with the California Legislature.
Responsibilities include tracking various legislative and regulatory issues, preparing client deliverables and researching legislative history. Strong research and writing skills, attention to detail and organizational skills are required, as is the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. Superb interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well with legislative staff and clients is paramount.
Successful candidates will have outstanding writing skills, strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure in fast‑paced environments and balance competing priorities, and excellent research and analytical skills. Additionally, candidates should have solid political awareness, leadership experience, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team‑oriented, collaborative manner. The ability to engage clients and government officials in a mature, professional manner is also critical.

## Compensation
Salary will range between $130,000 and $160,000, depending on experience. A discretionary bonus may also be available based on performance. This role is also eligible for the following firm benefits: medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, voluntary insurance including vision, 401(k) plan and matching contributions, profit‑sharing contributions and paid time off.
