THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it

This is a senior leadership position that involves meaningful collaboration with the C-team and other executive leaders within the company. Overseeing all strategy and execution across our press and communications practice, this role will craft the public narrative of our business across fantasy sports, sports betting, horse racing and online casino.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Build and/or maintain strong working relationships with media (print/broadcast/web) including business/financial and consumer outlets
  • Mature our press relations and communications practice to be more proactive and innovative, creating wholly new press opportunities and narratives
  • Set meaningful goals and measures on which our press and communications outcomes can be measured
  • Drive the planning and implementation of media events, roundtables, press conferences and educational seminars
  • Develop and execute a communications strategy that highlights Fan Duel Group’s differentiating capabilities and value propositions
  • Improve our crisis communications playbook, anticipating and preparing for various scenarios while marshaling responses in real time as situations arise
  • Serve as a spokesperson and lead point person on media interactions that help promote and/or impact the organization
  • Coach executives and other company personnel that interact with press and media
  • Manage, mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis.
  • Oversee PR agency relationship and other communications service providers to maximize business value capture, and drive innovative press strategies
  • Build deep relationships with press, influencers and other external stakeholders about core FanDuel products and initiatives

THE STATS
What we’re looking for in our next teammate  

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field is required.
  • 15+ years of public relations experience, including several years in leadership roles at an agency or technology business
  • A demonstrable track record of creating narratives that drive national press pickup
  • A natural disposition of urgency and a knack for staying a-step-ahead of the competition and the wider public perception
  • Ability to turn ideas into actionable plans that align with business goals and generate public relations results
  • Experience leading communications for brands/companies undergoing transformation and growth
  • A portfolio of PR work that exemplifies brand strategy, public relations execution and leadership capabilities
  • Ability to comfortably interact with executive leadership team
  • Ability to work at pace when required, while also being able to step back and work on macro projects
  • Brilliant interpersonal and presentation skills – you engineer trust, respect can tailor your approach to the situation and audience
  • Interest in Online Casino, Fantasy Sports and/or Sports Betting preferred
