Accountabilities:

As the Sr. Director, US Federal Government Affairs, you will be a member of the US Federal Government Affairs and Policy team, which drives the company’s policy agenda in Congress. You will strategically lead in the advancement of the company’s business priorities on Capitol Hill and defend the enterprise against harmful policy proposals. This role will lead other government affairs professionals that are accountable for achieving proactive engagements in order to progress company’s priorities. This role will be known as an expert internally and externally in proactively driving business priorities. This role will successfully work collaboratively with internal, cross-functional teams and skillfully navigate the external government landscape.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in public policy, public affairs, government affairs, public health, vaccines policy, or issues management
  • Experience juggling multiple priorities and deadlines with urgency
  • Understanding of and experience working with or adjacent to the pharma sector
  • Expertise in distilling sophisticated policy concepts into plain language
  • Skilled at managing cross-functional partner relations in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work on both strategy and execution
  • Deep understanding of the federal/state legislative and regulations process
  • Experience in leading projects and teams directly or indirectly

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Advanced degree such as a J.D., M.P.P. or M.P.H.
  • An understanding of the drug reimbursement process, including both US commercial and public payors
  • Experience with the intersection of public health and medicine
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
  • Experience working on Capitol Hill, at a Federal agency or at The White House
  • Experience as people manager
