Senior Manager, Government Affairs

Responsibilities
Government Relations Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive government affairs strategy aligned with Permobil Americas’ business objectives and values.
Advocacy and Lobbying: Represent Permobil Americas to government officials, legislators, and regulatory agencies. Advocate for policies that support the mobility and healthcare needs of individuals with disabilities.
Legislative Monitoring: Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at the federal, state, and local levels that may impact Permobil Americas. Provide timely analysis and recommendations.
Policy Development: Contribute to the development of policy positions and proposals in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Coalition Building: Build and maintain strategic relationships with key industry associations, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to advance Permobil Americas’ interests.
Grassroots Engagement: Develop and implement grassroots advocacy campaigns to mobilize employees, customers, and partners in support of Permobil Americas’ policy goals.
Compliance: Ensure all government affairs activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Budget Management: Manage the budget for government affairs activities and initiatives.
Reporting and Communication: Regularly report on the status of government affairs initiatives to senior management. Keep internal stakeholders informed about relevant legislative and regulatory developments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of the healthcare, disability, and mobility technology sectors.
- Proven track record in government relations and advocacy, including successful engagement with government officials and regulatory agencies.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in developing and executing advocacy campaigns.
- Strong project management skills.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local legislative processes.
- Understanding of the Assistive Technology industry is a plus.
