About the Role
As part of the Hims & Hers Public Policy Team (Government Relations), the Sr. Director, Federal Government Affairs will support our federal-focused advocacy and build strategic relationships with key industry and government stakeholders.
The role also includes expanding our political giving programs (e.g., PAC) and enhancing external communication capabilities. Reporting to the Vice President of Policy & Regulatory Initiatives, this position requires a strong background in government affairs, political giving, and coalition engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships with federal stakeholders, including Congressional committee staff, elected officials, and regulatory agency staff.
- Draft and design collateral, including talking points, one-pagers, testimony, and response letters, to educate key audiences on policy matters.
- Maximize engagement with trade associations and coalitions to support advocacy goals and leverage thought leadership opportunities.
- Manage external federal consultants and lobbyists.
- Oversee the company’s political giving strategy, including managing and growing our corporate PAC.
- Coordinate and track political engagements, mapping them to key objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Regulatory Affairs, or a relevant field.
- 12+ years of experience in policy, government affairs, communications, or related fields, preferably in fast-paced organizations.
- Expertise in federal government affairs and trade association engagement.
- Experience launching and managing coalitions and corporate Political Action Committees.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Healthcare experience, particularly in pharmaceuticals or pharmacy, is preferred.
- Experience working with elected officials and media training is a plus.

Compensation
Estimated salary range: $260,000 – $290,000 USD (for U.S.-based candidates).
The final compensation will be determined based on factors like skill set, experience, training, location, and licensure. Our Total Rewards package may also include equity grants. Discuss with your recruiter for location-specific ranges.
