Job Description

Role Summary/Purpose

This role resides in the Credit Analytics and Reporting function within the Credit Life Cycle team. He/She will lead a cross-functional regulatory reporting and external engagement team, including requirement review, analytical support, process design, and reporting implementation for Credit Management. As a process owner, this role will assume responsibilities of an L3 process owner, satisfying process governance requirements, mitigating risk, and implementing effective controls.

While this role shares a passion for credit performance data analytics as a subject matter expert, he/she will have regular interaction with leaders in Regulatory Reporting, Capital Management, Controllership, and Supervisory Affairs representing Credit Management.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the establishment of reporting requests from gathering requirements, developing frameworks, establishing reporting processes, and ongoing deliverables of regulatory and external reports.
  • Partner with Credit, Regulatory Reporting, Capital Management, Controllership, Finance, and Supervisory Affairs to ensure accuracy and timely deliverables.
  • Effectively and creatively manage allocated resources such as analysts and technology while navigating data infrastructure to deliver results and maintain documentation meeting governance standards.
  • Support Category IV Bank status requirements through CCAR-related schedules and activities, as well as preliminary and impact analyses for new requirements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Credit data tables supporting enhancements, code changes, new portfolios/products, and validations with system/data teams.
  • Lead deep-dive analytics and support during quarterly regulatory reports/schedules and earnings materials. Present findings clearly to senior leaders.
  • Develop analytics team members through regular coaching and productive feedback.
  • Manage credit data transfer as requested during external reviews.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience in analytics with consumer finance experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in consumer finance analytics.
  • 5+ years of experience in Credit, Collections, Risk, Finance, or Data Analytics roles, leading teams or projects.
  • 5+ years of expert experience with SAS, SQL, or Python.
  • 2+ years of experience with SAS Viya, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
  • Ability to independently plan, research, and analyze regulatory requirements with strong credit analytical support.

Desired Characteristics

  • Familiarity with Category IV bank requirements including banking regulations, capital adequacy, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent time management with ability to deliver results within deadlines, focusing on accuracy and detail.
  • Strong cross-functional management and teamwork skills with collaborative communication.
  • Experience managing regulatory requests, reviews, and exams.
  • Process management experience with understanding of process risk and control frameworks.
  • Experience with internal databases (e.g., RDG, CDCI, ALP 2.0, CLBP2) or data lake technologies and languages (Hadoop, Python, Hive, etc.).
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills including pivot-tables, formulas, macros, and array formulas.
  • Master’s Degree desired with quantitative focus, or certifications such as MBA, CFA, CAS, SOA.
  • Demonstrated creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Experience with Hyperion.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $135,000.00 – $230,000.00 USD annually and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based on work experience, skill level, or knowledge. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro, and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation, and submit fingerprints as part of onboarding.
  • You must be able to satisfy Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4–7) must have 9 months of continuous service before being eligible to apply for other roles. After that, they must serve 6 months in any new non-exempt role. Employees at Level 8+ must serve 18 months before applying to new roles. Internal applicants must meet performance expectations and have approval from their manager or HR.
