ABOUT THE AWARDS
The PAC Awards were launched in October 2014 to highlight outstanding achievements by political action committees. These awards, presented at the Public Affairs Council’s annual National PAC Conference in Florida, recognize outstanding campaigns or initiatives that showcase creativity, inclusiveness and organizational relevance. Awards are given in the following categories:
-
- Outstanding Corporate PAC
- Outstanding Association PAC
- Outstanding Corporate PAC
These awards recognize creative approaches to promoting PAC success. Whether a PAC program has undertaken an innovative fundraising campaign, found a fresh approach to PAC videos, revamped a rewards and recognition program or discovered new ways to communicate the value of PACs, all PAC efforts are eligible for consideration.
The PAC Awards recognize creativity and excellence in the field and honor PACs that are committed to these core principles:
-
- A dedication to compliance by following both the letter and the spirit of the law
- Sincere efforts at inclusiveness with eligible employees and members
- Creative approaches to education, fundraising, communication and relationship building
- Spreading civic-mindedness within their organization
- Supporting the efforts of other PACs by sharing their success stories
Winners receive a complimentary registration to the National PAC Conference and are asked to present their creative solutions to fellow attendees during one of the conference’s keynote sessions.
JUDGING CRITERIA
A diverse committee of PAC community leaders select the winning PAC programs. When reviewing nominations, committee members use the following criteria:
1. Did the strategy fit the organization’s culture?
2. Is the strategy adaptable by other PACs?
3. Did the organization measure the strategy’s impact?
4. Was the strategy inventive, and did it address specific problems experienced by the organization in the past?
