Join CertainTeed Roofing as a Manager of Policy and Advocacy. In this newly created role, you will develop and implement strategies to advance our policy objectives at local, state, and federal levels. You will build relationships with policymakers, industry associations, and other stakeholders, monitor legislative and regulatory developments, and advocate for policies that support the roofing industry and our growth.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Analysis & Development

  • Track and analyze legislation and regulations.
  • Conduct policy research and develop policy briefs and advocacy materials.

Government Relations

  • Engage with government officials.
  • Represent the organization at legislative hearings.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Advocacy & Outreach

  • Develop strategic advocacy campaigns.
  • Build coalitions and communicate policy information through various channels.

Communication & Reporting

  • Report on advocacy activities and their impact.

Is This Job for You?

What Do You Bring?

  • 7-10 years of experience in government relations, policy analysis, or advocacy, ideally within the construction or building materials industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, government relations, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience working with local, state, and federal government entities and industry associations.
  • Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and adaptability skills.

Certain states require pay information in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $111,000 to $177,000 per year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 15% of base salary, based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $127,650 to $203,550.
