## AmCham EU is seeking to recruit a Policy Adviser to lead its healthcare policy activities, while also contributing to other policy priorities across the organisation.
### Job description:
The Policy Adviser manages AmCham EU’s Healthcare Committee, which brings together representatives from member companies active in the life sciences sector. He/she is responsible for the development and implementation of advocacy strategies in this area. He/she coordinates committee activities and helps shape AmCham EU’s positions on key healthcare policy issues. In addition, the Policy Adviser will contribute to other policy priorities across the organisation, working closely with colleagues in line with business needs and team priorities.
The Policy Adviser reports to the Policy Director and is part of the wider Policy and Public Affairs function, which integrates policy, external communications and stakeholder engagement.
### Main tasks:
– **Healthcare Committee management** — Manage the day‑to‑day activities of the Healthcare Committee and other member working groups.
– **Advocacy initiatives** — Drive advocacy initiatives from strategy through implementation.
– **Advocacy materials drafting** — Draft and coordinate position papers, briefings and other advocacy materials.
– **Legislative monitoring** — Monitor legislative and political developments and identify relevant stakeholders.
– **Policy research** — Research, analyse and disseminate information on relevant policy developments.
– **Member engagement** — Foster engagement with members and facilitate the development of consensus positions.
– **Stakeholder relationships** — Build relationships with policymakers, industry associations and other relevant stakeholders.
– **Cross‑team collaboration** — Work collaboratively with colleagues at all stages of advocacy activities and across the wider team to deliver impactful initiatives.
– **Event organisation** — Organise committee meetings, conferences, seminars, delegation visits and other activities, including preparation, on‑site coordination and follow‑up.
### Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
– Minimum two years of professional experience.
– University degree in European affairs, political science, international relations, law, economics or a related discipline.
– Good understanding of healthcare policy and the EU decision‑making process.
– Strong networking and stakeholder engagement skills.
– Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with a proactive mindset, high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
– Excellent written communications skills.
– Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
– Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office.
– Familiarity with AI tools and an understanding of their responsible use in a professional environment are an asset.
### Languages:
Fluent English (both written and spoken); other EU languages can be an asset.
### Start date:
As soon as possible.
