We are searching for a Communications Coordinator in Indianapolis to play a key role in shaping how we tell our story both internally and externally. This person will help keep employees informed, engaged, and proud to be part of the Union Gas Division.

This role offers a hybrid schedule, two days in the office a week are required.

Main Responsibilities:

Support internal communications initiatives, including email updates, texting platform, newsletters, and special campaigns.
Draft and edit content for various audiences, ensuring a consistent tone and alignment with our mission and values.
Assist with external communications, including social media posts, website content, and customer-facing collateral.
Collaborate with team members and departments across the organization to share project updates, employee stories, and company milestones.
Assist in planning and promoting employee events and engagement initiatives.
Assist with community engagement, sponsorships, tradeshows, and donations.
Assist with the employee recognition program, Catch ONE, for the Union Gas Division.
Monitor internal feedback and assist in adjusting communication strategies based on employee needs.
Track communications metrics to understand reach and engagement.
Maintain brand consistency across all materials.
Provide light clerical support as needed and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, or related field from an accredited university.
3+ years of work experience in a corporate communications setting.
Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Office 365, as well as established & emerging social media platforms.
Ability to travel overnight up to 20%, including outside of normal work hours if needed.
Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
Above-average organization and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Communications or marketing experience in the underground utility (or similar) industry.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), and WordPress.
