Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Communications, the Manager of Digital Communications and Content Creation is responsible for supporting and elevating our digital storytelling efforts. In this role, you will execute digital communication strategies that amplify our mission to support the beer industry, engage our members, and celebrate the culture of brewing.

This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual who thrives at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and execution, with a passion for storytelling, beer, and engaging diverse audiences on critical policy issues.

Responsibilities

Digital Communications

  • Assist in developing comprehensive digital communication strategies to support organizational goals, public policy initiatives, and member engagement.
  • Support the implementation of multi-channel digital communication initiatives across social media and online platforms.
  • Be aware of digital trends and emerging platforms to support recommendations to reach target audiences.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all digital channels.
  • Compile and distribute daily news clips to staff and members.

Content Creation

  • Produce high-quality content for the association’s website, email campaigns, social media, and print collateral, including one-pagers, policy positions, social media graphics, photos, and video.
  • Write, edit, and proofread content with attention to detail and alignment with the association’s voice and tone.
  • Work with association leadership and vendors to produce materials on time, within budget, and consistent with brand standards.

Website Management

  • Oversee website content updates, ensuring usability, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
  • Manage the editorial calendar for our website and social media platforms, ensuring a steady stream of relevant and timely content.

Social Media Management

  • Execute social media strategies to increase engagement, grow followers, and promote association initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and industry partners to gather stories, insights, and content ideas.
  • Deliver social media metrics to guide senior leadership on strategic decisions that optimize campaigns and engagement.
  • Stay current with platform updates and best practices.

Digital Advertising Development and Execution

  • Bring a working knowledge of digital advertising campaigns, including display ads, paid social media, and search engine marketing.
  • Create compelling ad copy and visuals in collaboration with graphic designers or independently using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Track performance metrics for all digital campaigns and content, providing regular reports.
  • Support the use of data-driven insights to inform strategy adjustments and measure ROI on digital initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital communications, content creation, or related roles. Experience in trade associations, nonprofits, or the beverage industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and platforms, including content management systems (e.g., WordPress), social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics). Knowledge of SEO and email marketing platforms is preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a portfolio of work demonstrating creativity and versatility.
  • Knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Passion for the beer industry and a genuine interest in supporting brewers, beer importers, and suppliers.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits

This full-time position offers total compensation between $65,000-$85,000 (DOE) plus merit-based incentive pay. Additional benefits include:
