Position Overview
The United States Hockey League is seeking qualified candidates for a Digital Media Manager position to manage all aspects of social media and content creation, as well as assisting with media relations for the USHL.

Duties
Reporting to the Director of Media & Communications, below are the general duties of this position:

· Create content for the League’s social media channels, managing a content calendar and posting in real-time as required on game nights.
· Produce graphics, copy, videos, and other visual content that aligns with League communications strategy and messaging.
· Collaborate with accounts and influencers to expand reach and increase following across platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
· Conduct all web initiatives for USHL.com, including but not limited to publishing news, updating player bios and schedules, and providing recurring maintenance to public-facing pages.
· Lead digital media efforts on-site for League events, including the Fall Classic, American Cup, Chipotle All-American Game, the Clark Cup Playoffs, USHL Draft, USHL Combines, and milestone celebrations for players, teams, and coaches.
· Develop a social media strategy and elevate League exposure at non-owned events, including the IIHF World Junior Championship, Minnesota High School State Hockey Championship, USA Hockey Nationals, Frozen Four, and NHL Draft. Some of these events will require an on-site presence.
· Adhere to USHL brand standards, strategic initiatives, and messaging across platforms.
· Design and update graphics, logos, signage, and collateral to support owned channels, League events, and player recruitment initiatives.
· Assist with media requests for external events and coordinate with the Director of Media & Communications to accomplish departmental goals.
· Evening and weekend work is required to cover games on digital channels and report technical emergencies as necessary.

Desired Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field.
· Expertise in ideating, executing, and gathering meaningful insights from social media campaigns.
· Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Meta, SIDEARM, Slate, FloHockey, HockeyTech.
· Undergraduate experience working in a college athletics department, professional or junior hockey organization, or league/conference office is preferred.
· Strong writing and editing skills; high attention to detail.
· Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects across multiple departments.
· Ability to work nights and weekends.

This position is a remote/work from home position with the USHL. All employees are expected to be actively available during the normal hours of operation Monday through Friday 9:00am until 5:00pm.
