  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of tax and regulatory legislation, emerging issues, industry trends, and the politics of these dynamics to ensure alignment between key company initiatives and external partners in the political and policy arena.
  • Support key legislative initiatives in the Mid-Atlantic/Midwest, including direct lobbying, issue engagement, and general education on PMI’s portfolio and long-term mission in the U.S.
  • Draft and present internal strategy plans and communications regarding partner activities tied to PMI’s support of membership organizations and political entities.
  • Advise the External Affairs team on budget decisions tied to making an important impact in the 2-year election cycle in key states of importance to PMI’s commercial plans and initiatives.
  • Conduct regular internal briefings to the External Affairs team and senior management on political trends, polling, and election information that will inform PMI’s state affairs campaigns.
  • Travel to and represent PMI at key partner events, political fundraisers, and functions that advance the interests of the External Affairs team across the U.S.
  • Other administrative tasks to support the department as needed.

Who We’re Looking For
