Job Description
A Starting Point (ASP) is looking for a creative Social Media Producer to manage ASP’s brand identity on social media, produce content, and develop audience engagement and growth strategies across a robust digital portfolio. The role works cross-collaboratively across the company to support the overall creative strategy and development.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Set annual strategies, roadmaps, and goals for ASP’s social media accounts
- Direct ASP’s organic brand presence on social media, developing new audience and content strategies to support growth for all brand family accounts
- Manage all brand accounts, create schedules, develop content, monitor activity and engagement, and analyze the performance of campaigns (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Medium)
- Pilot new social media franchises in coordination with the sales and business development team
- Develop marketing and social media strategies for partnerships, creating shared schedules, copy, assets, and other collaboration materials
- Develop influencer relationships and coordinate opportunities, building campaigns to support ASP’s corporate goals
- Create quarterly paid advertising strategies for social media channels
- Strategic planning, implementation, and full lifecycle management of paid search ads (Google, TikTok)
Selection Criteria
A qualified candidate will possess:
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in social media platforms, with an emphasis on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Understanding of government institutions and policies
- Commitment to upholding ASP’s nonpartisan mission and supporting civic engagement and education across party lines
- Experience with photo/video editing software (Photoshop, Frame.io, Premiere Pro)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
- Location: DC/LA/NYC preferred
