Board and Executive Committee Elected, Volunteer of the Year Honored

Washington, D.C. – The Public Affairs Council elected energy company executive Courtney Geduldig as its 2024-25 board chair during its Fall Board Meeting in California this week.

Geduldig is the chief corporate affairs officer of National Grid plc, one of the largest investor-owned energy companies in the U.S. and the UK. She has more than 20 years’ experience as a leader in public policy, government, external affairs and public affairs globally. Prior to joining National Grid, Geduldig  held corporate executive roles leading Corporate Affairs and Government Relations at S&P Global, Chime and Micron. She was also managing director and head of global and federal relations at the Financial Services Forum, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Domestic Policy in Legislative Affairs at the US Treasury Department and she also served as chief financial counsel to Senator Bob Corker (R-TN).

Geduldig steps into her board chair role at an important time for the Public Affairs Council as the organization’s next president, Nneka Chiazor, will be taking the helm in January. Geduldig will work closely with Chiazor to ensure a smooth transition for staff and members and to build on the Council’s strategic vision and priorities.

“Courtney’s extensive management experience and expertise in public affairs in the U.S. and internationally will help the Council as it expands its programs and services,” said Public Affairs Council President Doug Pinkham. “She is a tested leader that can help the Council grow during this pivotal time.”

The Council also honored its Volunteer of the Year — Jessica Cooper, director of national grassroots strategies at the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB). “Jessica is a trusted and hardworking volunteer leader,” said Pinkham. “Not only is she a frequent speaker at Council events, she’s also a respected voice on advisory committees and led the charge to launch the Council’s new Grassroots Roundtable.”

In addition, the Council announced the 2024-25 Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
