About the Job
As Director of Communications & Public Relations, you will develop and execute comprehensive integrated communications strategies and public relations campaigns that elevate Natcast’s profile within the semiconductor ecosystem and boost membership interest.
Your Responsibilities
Communications Strategy:
- Develop and implement communications strategies to attract and retain members from the semiconductor ecosystem, inform the public and legislators of the important work being done by Natcast, and attract people to a profession involving semiconductors. Content Creation:
- Produce compelling and engaging content, including an attractive and informative website, a regular newsletter, presentation materials, literature, scientific papers, social media, and impact reports.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate technical information into easily-accessible content. Communications Management:
- Utilize analytics to measure communications effectiveness and optimize strategies. Public Relations:
- Manage all aspects of public relations, including media relations, government relations, press releases, and crisis communications.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key industry influencers, media outlets, and government agencies. Brand Management:
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
- Uphold and enhance the company’s reputation within the semiconductor ecosystem. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, legal, and government affairs, to align messaging with business objectives.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the federal government to ensure consistent and appropriate messaging.
Your Expertise
- Minimum 10 years of experience in communications and public relations leadership roles, preferably within the semiconductor or related technology industry. Experience interfacing with government agencies is a plus.
- Strategic mindset with a track record of driving successful marketing initiatives, leading a company’s public relations efforts, and managing agencies to support these efforts.
- Strong understanding of membership development strategies, ideally for non-profits.
- Demonstrated ability to create impactful content and campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Related Master’s degree is a plus.
