Job Description
Aon is seeking a Senior Director of Investor Relations. This senior leadership role is critical in supporting Aon’s commitment to transparent and strategic communication with the investment community. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Investor Relations, the Senior Director position is a strategic and high-impact role with direct engagement with senior leadership and the investment community. The role will focus on articulating Aon’s long-term sustainable growth strategy to the investment community.
The Senior Director will work closely with the Global Head of Investor Relations to prepare materials and scripts for senior leadership for earnings calls, messaging for investor conferences and major industry events, and develop a strategic and proactive corporate access calendar, all while ensuring consistent and clear messaging. Additionally, the role will involve preparing materials and providing updates on market sentiment and valuation, shareholder feedback, and investor relations strategy for use in presentations to Aon’s Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, and other key internal stakeholders.

What the day will look like
Strategic Communication & Messaging:
Communicate Aon’s long-term sustainable growth strategy and ensure consistent messaging across all investor-facing materials.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align the company’s strategic vision with market communications, positioning Aon for long-term value creation and growth.
Effectively communicate Aon’s position in the market, leveraging industry insights to maintain strong investor confidence.
Senior Leadership Support:
Work directly with the Global Head of Investor Relations and senior executives to prepare them for key investor interactions.
Assist in preparing materials for use in presentations to the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, and other key stakeholders.
Provide real-time insights into investor sentiment, market trends, and strategic positioning.
Investor Relations Strategy & Execution:
Contribute to development and execution of a comprehensive investor relations strategy to align with Aon’s corporate goals and global market positioning.
Oversee the creation of quarterly earnings materials, investor presentations, and conference call messaging.
Ensure all external communications are aligned with Aon’s strategy, values, and growth story.
Market Intelligence & Stakeholder Engagement:
Track investor sentiment, competitor performance, and market trends, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
Cultivate and manage relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and key stakeholders, ensuring that Aon’s strategic vision is well understood and well received in the market.
Compliance & Reporting:
In partnership with Controllership, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and others, manage the end-to-end delivery of financial materials, including earnings Q&A, presentations, and SEC filings.
Ensure all investor communications are compliant with SEC regulations, corporate governance standards, and Aon’s internal policies.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Education: Bachelor’s degree. MBA, CFA, or other advanced credentials preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in investor relations, finance, equity research, or a related field, with at least five years in senior-level roles. A strong understanding of financial statements, performance indicators, and valuation is essential.
Leadership: Proven ability to collaborate with C-suite executives and other internal stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions and managing high-level communications.
Communication Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise messages.
Stakeholder Engagement: Experience managing relationships with institutional investors and sell-side analysts.

Pay Transparency Laws
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $225,000 to $275,000 annually. Actual salary will vary based on education, experience, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in Aon’s annual incentive plans in addition to base salary. The amount of any incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
