We are seeking a well-qualified Principal Quality Assurance Policy and Strategy Analyst to support our Aerospace Systems Sector. The position will be located in Melbourne, FL and can consider a hybrid work model.
The Auditor will be responsible for performing assignments on individual internal Quality Management System (QMS) audits, as part of the total sector-wide internal QMS audit plan. Auditors will participate as an audit team member and in a Lead Auditor role on various audits throughout the audit plan, to verify and validate the NGAS AS9100/ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Work performed will include coverage of sector functional and operating units, with a focus on QMS processes at the Sector, Division, and Program levels.
Essential Functions
Assist in the development of internal QMS audit objectives & scope, perform internal QMS audits, and document results of the work performed.
Examine the Quality Management System (QMS) and its various elements to ensure its effectiveness, including observing evidence of continuous improvement.
Perform audits based on the latest AS9100 standard.
Identify major findings, minor findings, opportunities for improvement, and observations; report information to the process owner.
Initiate, review, and approve corrective action responses and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions related to audit findings.
Participate in facilitation of Customer, Defense Contract Management Agency, and third-party AS9100/ISO 9001 certification audit activity.
Follow up on the closure status of outstanding internal audit issues.
Assist Audit management with periodic internal status reporting and metrics, developing the internal audit plan, and participating as an independent resource throughout the sector.
Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present to peers and management.
Demonstrate leadership skills needed to gain management’s acceptance of audit outcomes (findings, opportunities, observations).
Display strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet established deadlines.
Possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Microsoft Teams.
Solid understanding of the root cause and corrective action process.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience (3 years with a Master’s) in areas related to Quality Management Systems, audit, and corrective action.
Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain special program access.
Preferred Qualifications:
BS or Master’s degree, ASQ Certified Quality Auditor or Certified AS9100 Lead Auditor.
Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Aerospace and Defense industry experience.
Basic Qualifications for Level 4
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience (6 years with a Master’s) in areas related to Quality Management Systems, audit, and corrective action.
Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain special program access.
Certified AS9100 Lead Auditor.
Preferred Qualifications:
BS or Master’s degree, ASQ Certified Quality Auditor.
Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Aerospace and Defense industry experience.
Salary
Salary Range 1: $78,700.00 – $118,100.00
Salary Range 2: $98,100.00 – $147,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
