About the Role

Sachs Media is seeking a dynamic and driven Account Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, strong writer, and confident communicator who can adapt to the ever-changing nature of public affairs and public relations.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a four-year degree in communications, political science, or a related field AND at least two years of relevant experience.

The ideal candidate:

  • Communicates effectively, writes persuasively, and clearly presents strategies and ideas
  • Understands political dynamics and stays informed on relevant news
  • Embraces high-stakes challenges on meaningful issues
  • Executes communications plans and manages multiple clients/issues
  • Has an eye for design and can provide creative direction
  • Stays organized and handles pressing priorities efficiently
  • Takes initiative while working collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities

Communications Services

  • Stay current on trends in public relations, state government, and communications
  • Write and edit op-eds, fact sheets, news releases, media advisories, and other materials
  • Follow legislative and regulatory developments across multiple states
  • Assist in planning, scripting, and executing special events
  • Attend client meetings, providing strategic counsel and communications support
  • Develop communications and advertising plans for assigned clients
  • Research issues and craft accurate and effective media materials and pitches

Account/Project Management

  • Ensure a high standard of excellence for all work
  • Create compelling and visually appealing presentations
  • Work with vendors for estimates and help plan media and other events
  • Work autonomously with clients to develop and execute communication strategies
  • Manage relationships with professionalism and collaboration
  • Support internal promotional and communications efforts for the firm

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. (preferred)
  • Travel: 10% (Required)
