Invariant seeks a Manager to join our growing Strategic Communications & Public Affairs team. You’ll work with a diverse and energetic team of experts driving impact for clients.

What you’ll do
- Serve as project manager for client teams, moving deliverables and tasks forward and communicating effectively with the entire team.
- Develop strategies for engaging media, think tanks, and other stakeholders and lead discrete workstreams.
- Draft and edit communications plans, media strategies, correspondence, client memos and briefing documents, media pitches, social media content, website content, and other collateral.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create pitch decks, presentation materials, briefings, and informative client deliverables.
- Research and synthesize complex business and policy issues, distilling information into memos that support thought leadership, stakeholder mapping, and media engagement.
- Manage multiple workstreams and tasks with competing deadlines and manage junior team members to complete projects and tasks with short turnaround times.
- Drive new business efforts through project management support.
Who you are
- 4-7 years of experience in the strategic communications field, either at a communications agency, in-house, trade association, in Congress, or on a political campaign (agency experience preferred).
- Passionate about communications, public affairs, and media relations, with exceptional project management skills and supreme attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple workstreams and competing deadlines with a focus on detail and precision.
- Digital and social media savvy with an understanding of how to reach a target audience and drive engagement through compelling content.
- Excellent time management skills. Comfortable and adaptive when working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Solid communication skills and ability to manage both up and down.
- Strong writing, editing, and research skills.
- Proficient in use of digital software and technology, including databases such as Cision and Meltwater, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
