SUMMARY

Marketing Director Position

Voltaire is seeking a Marketing Director to be in charge of all Voltaire marketing efforts. This primarily involves developing and implementing strategies to strengthen our market presence and help us find our “voice”. The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing professional with a passion for employing unique and data-based marketing strategies.

COMPENSATION

Base pay and benefits commensurate with experience. Quarterly bonuses based upon individual and company performance.


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  1. Cross-Channel Marketing Campaigns:
    • Spearhead the design and execution of cross-channel marketing campaigns, including testing, tracking, segmentation, analyses, reporting, and recommendations.
  2. Creative Marketing Plans:
    • Manage the conception, development, and implementation of creative marketing plans and promotional strategies to drive customer interest, engagement, and sales.
  3. Team Collaboration:
    • Lead weekly Marketing Team meetings, supervise and collaborate with the Marketing Team and marketing-related vendors.
  4. Event Organization:
    • Produce ideas for promotional events, organize company events, and act as a brand ambassador for Voltaire or other companies.
  5. Metrics and Insights:
    • Understand key performance metrics, tracking tools, and translate results into actionable insights for the Marketing Team and Leadership Team.
  6. Market Research:
    • Regularly conduct general market research to remain updated on trends, best practices, evolving regulations, and competitor’s strategies.
  7. Communication and Partnerships:
    • Act as the primary media contact, build strategic partnerships, and develop and maintain rapport with customers, staff, and community members.
  8. Compliance and Brand Image:
    • Remain compliant with regulations, ensure consistent brand image and tone across all channels.
  9. Other Responsibilities:
    • Perform other related work as required.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as Marketing Director for 2+ years in a retail environment.
  • Proficient in graphic design.
  • Highly adept at managing email/SMS marketing and paid/free marketing.
  • Thorough knowledge of web analytics and Google Adwords.
  • Up-to-speed with contemporary online marketing techniques.
  • Lives locally or willing to relocate with reliable transportation.
  • Proficient with computers and electronic devices.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 21+ years old and able to pass required pre-employment screenings.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 1+ years managing marketing for a New Jersey cannabis dispensary.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
  • Full understanding of New Jersey regulations related to cannabis marketing.
  • Proficiency with Dutchie, AlpineIQ, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with A/B testing and AI in marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency in HTML, content management systems, and design software.
  • Established roster of media and PR contacts in New Jersey.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
