Job Description
Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to effectively convey the agency’s mission.
Responsibilities could include:
- Support the development, implementation, updates, and execution of the SAO Communications Plan to ensure consistent, relevant, accurate, and timely communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and coordinate Weekly Activity Reports.
- Support Senior Staff Meetings, Peer Review Board (PRB), and Senior Management Group (SMG) meetings, which includes coordinating briefing presentations, facilitating, and recording minutes from the meetings.
- Support planning and facilitation of events such as town hall meetings, all hands meetings, brown bag workshops, off-sites, and official outreach events.
- Facilitate the design, development, and implementation of communications products consistent with the customer’s (and the IC’s) approved Front Office Communications Strategies. These products shall include:
- Presentations with supporting audiovisual briefing aids
- Project plans, program status reports, survey results, operations highlights, all-hands presentations, and tours for visitors
- Announcements, newsletters, articles, operations highlights, the annual year in review publication
- Talking point papers, fact/slick sheets, brochures, posters, and other print products
- New media and multimedia content, including video, video scripts and storyboards, digital signage, diversity & inclusion
- Exhibits and displays.
- Coordinate with the program’s Chief of Staff for proper review prior to dissemination of all strategic communication products.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather inputs for and ensure information accuracy of strategic communications products.
- Assist with educational, awareness, and orientation programs to ensure messaging is consistent with communications strategies, branding, and quality standards.
Job Requirements
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in communications/journalism or related field.
Years of Relevant Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in communication, journalism, or related field, including at least 4 years of experience providing support to the NRO.
Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI w/CI Poly
