Longwell Partners is a full-service, pro-democracy communications firm based in Washington, DC. We specialize in high-profile political projects—including The Bulwark, Home of the Brave, and Republican Voters Against Trump—and we’re looking for an energetic Digital Media Buyer to help plan, place, and optimize paid media campaigns across digital platforms, primarily Facebook and YouTube.

About the Role
As our Digital Media Buyer, you will take direct responsibility for setting up, managing, and optimizing paid media campaigns that reach large and influential audiences. The primary focus will be on Facebook and YouTube through Meta and Google Ads Managers, with opportunities to gain experience on other platforms including programmatic display, out of home, linear TV, or streaming (CTV). This is a junior-level position for someone with some digital advertising background who wants to build a career in media buying.
The position is part of our media buying team, with oversight and training from the senior media buyer. This role requires sharp attention to detail, accurate and timely execution, and a strategic mindset for how ads reach audiences. Success means iterating on what works, improving campaigns over time, and adapting quickly to fast-moving situations.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan, launch, and manage paid campaigns on Meta Ads Manager (Facebook, Instagram, Threads) and Google Ads (YouTube, Search, Display).
- Execute campaigns with accurate targeting, budgeting, and scheduling to achieve goals such as acquisition and persuasion.
- Optimize paid campaigns and allocate budgets strategically to maximize ROI and expand reach.
- Monitor campaigns in real time, troubleshoot performance issues, and provide clear analysis and reporting for internal teams.
- Collaborate with creative staff to ensure ads are properly formatted.
- Stay up to date on platform policies, ad formats, and best practices.
- Propose improvements and run tests to drive stronger performance.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–2 years of experience in digital media buying, advertising, campaign work, or a related field.
- Candidates with relevant coursework, internships, or demonstrated passion for digital advertising are encouraged to apply.
- Hands-on-keyboard experience with the following advertising platforms: Meta (Facebook, Instagram, and Threads) and Google Ads.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accurate execution.
- A proactive and strategic thinker who can iterate, learn from results, and pursue constant improvement.
- Willingness to work hard and thrive in a fast-paced environment where campaigns come together quickly.
- Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for teamwork.
- Ability to be in the office (downtown DC) five days a week. This is not a remote or hybrid opportunity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with additional platforms such as X (Twitter), TikTok, or programmatic DSPs.
