Your Next Opportunity

The Director of Corporate Communications is a key steward of our Rosendin brand and responsible for ensuring our brand promise is articulated in everything we do. We are looking for a communications professional who is an innovator, bringing exceptional creativity and a disciplined approach to how we communicate at Rosendin. Experience and deep understanding of Executive Communications, PR, Content Marketing, and Employee Communications, including our ESOP participants and our craft workers.

You have a track record of success in developing compelling narratives and building and delivering impactful communications programs. You are a proven strategist and innovative problem solver in a complex and fast-paced environment. You build strong, trusted relationships and have experience supporting senior executives. You take an integrated communications approach, leveraging all relevant channels for maximum impact. You embody a values-led philosophy and are adept at turning change and challenge into opportunities. You believe measurement and research are fundamental to corporate communications. You continually seek new ways of doing things, embrace fun, and embody the spirit of teamwork.

This position will report into our Marketing and Strategy organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the Corporate Communications function, including developing executive platforms, creating, and implementing PR strategies, drafting scripts, narratives, and messaging, and other executive materials.
  • Lead the development of a strategic, integrated communications plan that is tied to overall organizational growth priorities, including key metrics to measure outcomes.
  • Apply team, agency, and budget resources to deliver excellent results, adapting to external events and our environment.
  • Provide consistent and timely information to ESOP employees and field craft through various communications programs.
  • Lead external communications that reflect Rosendin’s mission and values, build and protect our brand reputation, and demonstrate our business as the leading electrical contractor.
  • Research, develop, and edit content for internal and external executive communications, including narratives, messaging, briefing docs, scripts/talk tracks, press releases, blog posts/op-eds, and more.
  • Provide a high level of service and support to the business, taking a partnership approach to getting things done with stakeholders, ranging from operations to marketing, social media, and the field across the country.
  • Engage in crisis and issues management efforts and financial communications, alongside the marketing team.
  • Continually innovate and embrace new ways to do communications. Seek and embrace best practices.
  • Build a small team to transform how we communicate. Oversee the professional development and advancement of your direct reports; identify and create learning opportunities for team members.
  • Develop, implement, and adhere to communications budget.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in public relations and corporate communications, including supervisory and comprehensive communications experience.
  • Experience working for a company with high growth nationally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing skills, including the ability to simplify complex topics and adjust tone/style as needed.
  • Ability to offer sound media relations advice to senior leadership.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to set a positive tone and effectively manage, inspire, and develop a world-class team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with corporate management, employees, field staff, media, and the larger community.
  • Ability to coordinate efforts of various teams in order to present a coherent message.
  • Clear and effective communication, writing, and presentation skills, as well as innovative problem-solving, strategic, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence.

Working Conditions

  • General work environment: sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
  • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the job site.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Pay Range

$175,700.00 – $230,600.00 Annual

The pay range for this role reflects what we expect to pay for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed in this job description. Candidate’s pay can vary based on location, job-related experience, skills, and education.
