About the Role
As a Strategic Projects Associate, you will support the President with project management, client engagement, design, and special projects related to business development, policy and regulation, communications, and issue campaigns. The scope of this work will occur at Tusk Ventures and Tusk Philanthropies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and tracking tasks and deliverables, and escalating project assignments to the President and team.
- Assisting with overflow and/or special projects for Tusk Philanthropies and Tusk Ventures under the direction of the President.
- Interfacing clearly and effectively with clients to keep them informed of progress, discuss strategy, and prepare for further deliverables and meetings.
- Analyzing and synthesizing legislation, policy, contracts, and other information related to client matters.
- Conducting special research and preparing summaries on topics relating to clients or potential investment theses.
- Producing and tracking required updates to clients, and summarizing meeting notes and updates.
- Designing decks and digital media using original and client templates.
What We Look for from You
- 3–5 years of previous relevant experience in one of the following capacities: government, government relations, public affairs, consulting, issue campaigns.
- Experience using graphic design tools for decks, memos, and/or web assets.
- Proactive self-starter, responsive, and collaborative.
- Excellent research skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
- Familiar with project management methodologies and systems; a plus if you have experience using the Gantt Chart.
- Ability to divide attention among multiple projects and under tight deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience employing AI preferred.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $100,000 and $130,000/year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market factors.
